In order to become a leader in educational technology, I feel that it is important not only to be innovative in my approach but also make it possible for colleagues to replicate my findings. Below are some examples of how I have provided innovative solutions to important educational problems. Being the the result of collaboration amongst colleagues the world over, many of the below examples demonstrate my responsibility to the educational community as a whole.

The Collaborators

Over the course of eight weeks, four educators from different parts of the world worked collaboratively to discover educational solutions on the web. Our goal was to discover strategies that utilized Web 2.0 technology to engage students in a social constructivist approach to learning. Utilizing our own social networking site and weekly Skype conferencing as our major forms of communication, we were able to compile a comprehensive list of annotated resources.

This annotated list will act as a synthesized resource that will continue to grow, so long as the participants remain active.

A TechQuest for Quality Feedback Solutions.

A TechQuest is a professional development project that seeks to address a problem of practice by utilizing technology as a major part of the solution.

In this particular TechQuest, I addressed the problem of time restrictions hindering a teacher's ability to provide their students with qualitative feedback. I discovered that constant feedback loops can be developed outside the confines of the traditional classroom structure. Utilizing Jing, VoiceThread, and Google Docs; feedback can be created and received in an asynchronous nature while still being detailed and personal in nature.
